Lifecycle Responsibility
Here at EVCO we work closely with our customers to manage the responsible recycling of old hardware under WEEE regulations.
This ensures that every device leaving the business is disposed of in a compliant and environmentally responsible way, protecting both the organisation and the planet.
For many businesses, recycling hardware is often treated as an afterthought, but the reality is that it is a critical part of the IT lifecycle. Improper disposal not only risks data exposure but also contributes to environmental waste.
By handling recycling properly, we are giving our customers peace of mind that equipment is being processed securely while helping them meet sustainability targets.
This is becoming more important every year. According to WRAP, the UK generates over 1.45 million tonnes of electrical waste annually, making us one of the highest producers per capita in Europe. Organisations that take their recycling obligations seriously not only comply with regulations but also demonstrate leadership in corporate responsibility.
For EVCO, it is about closing the loop. Every device has a lifecycle, and managing the end of that lifecycle responsibly is as important as choosing the right equipment at the start.
